SolShift Privacy Policy

The Vegan Community Center (“VCC,” “we,” “us”) presents the SolShift Gathering. We respect your privacy and keep things simple. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or buy a ticket, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

The SolShift Gathering is organized by SolShift Education and the Vegan Community Center, a Minnesota nonprofit corporation. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at laina@vegancommunity.org.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the event and communicate with you:

• Information you give us: your name, email address, and any details you enter when you buy a ticket, fill out a form, or contact us.

• Payment information: when you buy a ticket, your card payment is processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; Stripe handles that securely.

• Information collected automatically: like most websites, ours may collect basic technical information (such as your device type, browser, and general usage) through cookies or analytics tools.

3. How we use your information

We use your information only to:

• Sell you a ticket and process your payment

• Send you information about the Gathering you have registered for (such as details, updates, and what to bring)

• Respond to your questions and requests

• Keep accurate records and run the event safely

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

4. Who we share it with

We share your information only with the services and people who help us run the Gathering:

• Stripe, our payment provider, to process ticket payments securely

• Our email or ticketing tools, to send you event communications

• Event staff and volunteers, only as needed to check you in and run the event

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices. We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it to run the event, meet our record-keeping and legal obligations as a nonprofit, and communicate with you. After that, we delete or archive it.

6. Your choices

You can:

• Ask us what information we hold about you

• Ask us to correct or delete your information

• Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in the email, or by contacting us

7. Children's privacy

The SolShift Gathering is family-friendly, and parents or guardians register on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. Any information about a child (such as a name for the headcount) is provided by their parent or guardian.

8. Cookies

Our website may use cookies, small files stored on your device, to help the site work properly and to understand how it is used. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Turning them off may affect how some parts of the site work.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
